À propos de cette pièce
TARSI, meaning decorative inlay, is an intricate Moroccan zellige mosaic inspired by the art of assembling individual forms into a richly detailed and harmonious composition.
Deep emerald-green forms create a repeating framework around elongated ivory pieces, while burgundy eight-pointed stars and small geometric accents punctuate the design. The closely interlocking elements give TARSI the appearance of finely worked inlay, creating a sophisticated rhythm that becomes more captivating as the pattern extends across a surface.
Each tile is individually hand-cut from glazed ceramic, shaped and fitted by skilled craftsmen in Fez using techniques passed down through generations. The result is a unique piece of functional art, combining intricate geometry, rich color and the unmistakable character of authentic Moroccan craftsmanship.
