• Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase
• After 24 hours: cancellations are not accepted as production may have begun
• Damaged items: we replace or refund any product damaged during shipping — photo evidence required
• Custom orders (custom colors, sizes, patterns) are non-refundable
• Returns must be requested within 7 days of delivery

AKIK — meaning “agate” in Arabic — is a handcrafted Moroccan zellige tile in a rich dusty red and terracotta-rose tone. Its warm, earthy color is brought to life by subtle variations from tile to tile, creating a surface with depth, movement and the unmistakable character of authentic handmade Moroccan zellige.

Each tile is individually handmade in Fez, Morocco, by skilled artisans using traditional zellige techniques. The clay is shaped, dried, glazed and finished by hand, resulting in natural variations in color, texture, edges and surface that make every tile unique.

Each AKIK tile is handmade in Fez, Morocco, following traditional zellige-making techniques. The artisanal process creates the characteristic irregular edges, subtle surface texture and variations in red and terracotta tones that distinguish authentic Moroccan zellige from machine-made tiles.

Handmade Character

Variations in color, glaze, texture, dimensions, edges and surface finish are an essential part of authentic handmade zellige. Small chips, uneven edges, pinholes and tonal differences are natural characteristics rather than defects and contribute to the distinctive appearance of the finished installation.
