RAWASI

RAWASI, meaning firmly rooted and steadfast, is an intricate Moroccan hand-painted ceramic tile distinguished by strong star forms, rhythmic symmetry and richly layered traditional ornament.

Four eight-pointed stars command the composition, painted in deep cobalt blue and turquoise with vivid golden-yellow centres. Around them, delicate curls, miniature floral forms and finely painted geometric details unfold across a soft ivory background, enriched with touches of sky blue, green and warm ochre. The repetition creates a beautifully structured surface, while the abundance of smaller details gives RAWASI depth, energy and unmistakable Moroccan character.

Each ceramic tile is individually hand-painted by skilled artisans in Fez, Morocco, using traditional decorative techniques passed down through generations. The subtle variations in brushwork, color and finish are part of the handmade process, ensuring that every tile carries its own unique character.
