À propos de cette pièce
NASEEJ, meaning weave or interwoven composition, is an intricate Moroccan zellige mosaic inspired by the rhythm and repetition of traditional woven patterns.
Soft blue elongated forms interlock across the composition, surrounding delicate eight-pointed stars in ivory and deep charcoal. Smaller geometric accents connect each motif, creating the impression of individual elements being woven together into one continuous pattern. The balanced palette gives NASEEJ a refined and architectural presence while allowing its complex geometry to take centre stage.
Each tile is individually hand-cut from glazed ceramic, shaped and fitted by skilled craftsmen in Fez using techniques passed down through generations. The result is a unique piece of functional art, combining intricate geometry, rhythmic repetition and the unmistakable character of authentic Moroccan craftsmanship.
