À propos de cette pièce
NAHLA, meaning a drink of water or first sip, is a serene Moroccan zellige mosaic inspired by the meeting of cool water tones and the warmth of sun-washed earth.
Deep teal-blue quatrefoil forms unfold across the composition, separated by warm sand-toned eight-pointed stars. The alternating shapes fit together in a continuous rhythm, creating a pattern that feels both floral and geometric. The contrast between cool blue and earthy beige gives NAHLA a naturally balanced character reminiscent of water flowing through Morocco’s warm landscapes.
Each tile is individually hand-cut from glazed ceramic, shaped and fitted by skilled craftsmen in Fez using techniques passed down through generations. The result is a unique piece of functional art, combining flowing geometry, natural color and the unmistakable character of authentic Moroccan craftsmanship.
