SAMIRA, meaning pleasant companion in evening conversation, is an elegant Moroccan zellige border combining graceful ornamental silhouettes with the rich jewel tones of traditional Moroccan decoration.
Deep emerald-green forms repeat in mirrored rows across a soft ivory ground, meeting around a central sequence of burgundy and charcoal diamonds. The slender silhouettes and precise repetition create a delicate decorative rhythm, while the contrasting colors give SAMIRA a sophisticated character reminiscent of the richly detailed interiors of traditional Moroccan homes and riads.
Each tile is individually hand-cut from glazed ceramic, shaped and fitted by skilled craftsmen in Fez using techniques passed down through generations. The result is a unique piece of functional art, combining graceful geometry, rich color and the unmistakable character of authentic Moroccan craftsmanship.
