À propos de cette pièce

OXBLOOD is a deep red-brown Moroccan Bejmat tile defined by its elongated rectangular form, dark earthy glaze and naturally handcrafted character. Its color shifts subtly between oxblood red, deep burgundy-brown and warm earthen undertones, creating a dramatic and sophisticated finish with the depth and character of traditional Moroccan tilework.

The elongated proportions of OXBLOOD make it especially versatile for patterned installations. It can be arranged in herringbone, basketweave, running bond, stacked or more intricate geometric compositions, allowing the same tile to create dramatically different visual effects depending on the chosen layout.

Natural differences in glaze intensity, texture and surface markings give every piece its own character. Some tiles may appear deeper and more brown-toned while others reveal richer wine-red and earthy nuances. Across a larger installation, these variations create a richly layered surface with warmth, depth and authentic handcrafted character.

Each Bejmat tile is individually handcrafted, glazed and hand-cut by skilled Moroccan artisans using traditional techniques passed down through generations. Every piece is shaped and finished individually by hand, resulting in characteristic irregular edges, slight differences in dimensions and unique surface variations that distinguish genuine handmade Bejmat from machine-made tile.
