À propos de cette pièce
NAKHLA, meaning palm tree, is a warm and expressive Moroccan zellige mosaic inspired by the earthy colors and geometric forms of Morocco’s palm-filled landscapes.
Rich ochre and terracotta tones form bold eight-pointed shapes, framed by deep cobalt blue and turquoise accents. The repeating composition creates a strong architectural rhythm, while the contrast between warm earth tones and cooler blues recalls the meeting of sun-baked landscapes, lush palms and water found throughout Morocco.
Each tile is individually hand-cut from glazed ceramic, shaped and fitted by skilled craftsmen in Fez using techniques passed down through generations. The result is a unique piece of functional art, combining geometric precision, rich color and the unmistakable character of authentic Moroccan craftsmanship.
