À propos de cette pièce
FUSAYFISA, meaning mosaic, is an exuberant Moroccan zellige composition that brings together stars, interlacing lines and layered geometry in a celebration of traditional ornamental craftsmanship.
Cobalt blue, turquoise, warm ochre, ivory and soft blue-grey unfold through a richly detailed arrangement of multi-pointed stars, angular forms and interwoven bands. Rather than following a single repeating motif, FUSAYFISA brings multiple geometric expressions together, creating the impression of a decorative tapestry assembled piece by piece.
Each tile is individually hand-cut from glazed ceramic, shaped and fitted by skilled craftsmen in Fez using techniques passed down through generations. The result is a unique piece of functional art, combining complex geometry, vibrant color and the unmistakable character of authentic Moroccan craftsmanship.
