À propos de cette pièce
SAKN, meaning dwelling or place of belonging, is a refined Moroccan zellige mosaic inspired by the ordered proportions and quiet elegance of traditional Moroccan architecture.
Elongated ivory forms repeat within a warm sand-toned framework, connected by small squares, diamonds and angular details. The composition creates a continuous architectural rhythm, reminiscent of a sequence of doorways and passages, while the restrained neutral palette allows the craftsmanship and geometry to remain at the centre of the design.
Each tile is individually hand-cut from glazed ceramic, shaped and fitted by skilled craftsmen in Fez using techniques passed down through generations. The result is a unique piece of functional art, combining geometric precision, natural texture and the unmistakable character of authentic Moroccan craftsmanship.
