À propos de cette pièce
MASAR, meaning path or course, is an intricate Moroccan zellige mosaic inspired by the continuous pathways created through traditional interlacing geometry.
Crisp ivory bands travel across a deep cobalt-blue field, turning, crossing and reconnecting to form an elaborate network of stars and angular geometric shapes. Warm ochre centres introduce points of light within the composition, while subtle powder-blue details soften the contrast. The eye naturally follows the interwoven lines from one form to another, giving MASAR a captivating sense of direction and continuous movement.
Each tile is individually hand-cut from glazed ceramic, shaped and fitted by skilled craftsmen in Fez using techniques passed down through generations. The result is a unique piece of functional art, combining intricate geometry, vibrant color and the unmistakable character of authentic Moroccan craftsmanship.
