À propos de cette pièce
MALACHITE is a rich turquoise-green Moroccan zellige tile defined by its saturated mineral glaze and naturally varied handmade surface. Its color shifts subtly between malachite green, deep turquoise and cooler blue-green tones, creating a vibrant finish with the unmistakable depth and character of authentic zellige.
The beauty of MALACHITE lies in the natural variation between individual pieces. Differences in glaze intensity, texture and surface markings create expressive tonal shifts, with some tiles appearing deeper and greener while others reveal brighter turquoise nuances. When installed together, these variations form a richly layered field of color that feels vivid, organic and naturally handcrafted.
Each tile is individually handcrafted, glazed and hand-cut by skilled Moroccan artisans using traditional zellige techniques passed down through generations. Every piece is shaped and finished by hand, resulting in characteristic irregular edges, subtle differences in proportion and unique surface variations that distinguish authentic Moroccan zellige from machine-made tile.
