À propos de cette pièce
KHAYT, meaning thread, is an intricate Moroccan zellige mosaic inspired by the continuous lines and interwoven rhythms of traditional textile craftsmanship.
Deep charcoal and black elongated forms are woven together through crisp ivory bands, small diamonds and delicate star-like intersections. The repeated geometry creates the impression of threads crossing and reconnecting across the surface, giving KHAYT a strong sense of continuity, movement and meticulous detail.
Each tile is individually hand-cut from glazed ceramic, shaped and fitted by skilled craftsmen in Fez using techniques passed down through generations. The result is a unique piece of functional art, combining intricate geometry, bold contrast and the unmistakable character of authentic Moroccan craftsmanship.
