À propos de cette pièce
TADAFUR, meaning interweaving or intertwining, is an intricate Moroccan zellige mosaic defined by continuous geometric lines that appear to weave endlessly across the surface.
Angular ivory bands cross, turn and reconnect to form a complex network of interlocking polygons and star-like forms. Rendered entirely in soft ivory tones, the design relies on joints, shadows and the natural variation of each hand-cut piece to reveal its remarkable geometry. The result is a subtle composition that appears minimal from a distance yet becomes increasingly intricate when viewed up close.
Each tile is individually hand-cut from glazed ceramic, shaped and fitted by skilled craftsmen in Fez using techniques passed down through generations. The result is a unique piece of functional art, combining exceptional geometric precision, natural texture and the unmistakable character of authentic Moroccan craftsmanship.
