MIHWAR, meaning axis or central point, is a striking Moroccan zellige mosaic whose layered geometry revolves around a powerful central motif.

A deep black eight-pointed star anchors the composition, surrounded by interlocking olive-green forms, crisp ivory bands and luminous turquoise shapes. Each geometric layer radiates outward from the centre, creating a strong sense of symmetry and direction, while the contrast of dark, earthy and aquatic tones gives MIHWAR a distinctive visual depth.

Each tile is individually hand-cut from glazed ceramic, shaped and fitted by skilled craftsmen in Fez using techniques passed down through generations. The result is a unique piece of functional art, combining intricate geometry, vibrant color and the unmistakable character of authentic Moroccan craftsmanship.
