ISHRAQ

ISHRAQ, meaning radiance or the first light of sunrise, is a vibrant Moroccan zellige mosaic inspired by the moment light unfolds outward and brings color to the surrounding world.

A luminous starburst forms the heart of the composition, with turquoise and emerald-green shapes radiating from a crisp ivory centre. Deep cobalt-blue geometry frames the outer layers, while touches of burgundy, charcoal and green punctuate the pattern like flashes of color caught in the light. The result is a richly layered design that draws the eye naturally from its radiant centre toward its intricate borders.

Each tile is individually hand-cut from glazed ceramic, shaped and fitted by skilled craftsmen in Fez using techniques passed down through generations. The result is a unique piece of functional art, combining intricate geometry, vibrant color and the unmistakable character of authentic Moroccan craftsmanship.
